Usage
Chana Daal has a nutty flavor and is used in dry, stemed or sauted vegetables. Chana Daal is used in many Indian street foods. In the south it is an essential tempering ingredient along with mustard and dry red chillies. It can be eaten with rice as a soupy daal or combined daal with some gourds like ghiya and snake gourd. Some delicious sweets (chana dal halwa) and savouries (Masala vada) are also made with this daal. Concious Food's desi chana can be used to make healthy curries, chaats and salads. Not only food but applying a solution of Bengal gram powder on the hair for 10 to 15 minutes and then washing it off eliminates dryness of the hair, makes it soft and lustrous and helps to eliminate dandruff.
