Quinoa (a super food) has been consumed as food since ancient times. In reality it is not a grain but actually a seed that can be used like a grain. Usage
Red quinoa also has a heartier taste and chewier texture than the muted, bitter taste of white quinoa, while black quinoa tastes somewhat crunchy and slightly sweeter than either red or white. You can use Quinoa flour for alternative baking and Quinoa flakes, when steamed quinoa rolled into thin, near transparent flakes for faster cooking. You can find them stocked on the shelves of every supermarket. You can also make Chips, Pasta and Chocolate using this wonderful seed.
