A tandoor is a cylindrical clay oven in which food is cooked over charcoal. When making tandoori vegetables it needs to be marinated before being placed to cook in the tandoor. A special mix of spices are pounded to make the masala and used for this marination and hence it is called Tandoori Masala.

Usage
Tandoori Masala is used to marinate vegetables (or meat) to be cooked in the Tandoor. For example - Tandoori Aloo, Tandoori Gobhi, Tandoori Arbi etc.. As it cooks the aroma of the preparation fills the air and stimulates your appetite by its sheer fragrance.
