Broken rice is small pieces of rice grains, broken either in the field while harvesting or during processing of rice post harvesting while drying, milling, or transporting it from one place to another. Broken grains are separated from whole grains and sold separately. They are as nutritious as the whole grain and used only for different rice preparations.
