Rock salt is a sedimentary rock that consists almost entirely of halite, a mineral composed of sodium chloride, NaCl. It is a natural salt which is found in solid form and is simply mined. It comes in large crystals and is course in texture. Apart from being used for food processing, it is also used in chemical manufacturing, agriculture, plastics, paint, textiles, leather processing, water treatment, and many other industries.

Usage
