Why Us?

Art-work
  • Image One We at Organic Amrit believe that of all virtues, Trust, Transparency, Credibility and Accessibility are the ones that are in major deficit in this Organic Sector. Our commitment to only deal in Certified Organic Produce is unwavering. There will be no compromise on quality!
  • Image One We verify every supplier’s certification and check its validity and we also visit farms to see the processes and techniques firsthand. We also conduct random testing even on certified goods, to be doubly sure of quality.
  • Image One Once the order is placed we ensure that every order is thoroughly quality checked before it leaves our fulfilment centre. In order to achieve that, we get the produce first at our centre, which is then checked and verified by our team.
  • Image One To ensure that the produce reaches you in the best state, we have put in place our own supply chain system that is designed keeping in mind the preservation and purity of Organic Produce. We do it ourselves, treating each delivery with utmost care, rather than depend on a third-party courier.
  • Image One The problem of fraud and mis-labelling occurs when a product is organic while it contains non-organic ingredients or where the organic production standards are not adhered to in the production process. Therefore, it becomes important to check if the food labelled as "organic" is genuinely organic.

Sharp Focus on Product Quality

  • Image One We at Organic Amrit believe that of all virtues: trust, transparency, credibility and accessibility are the ones that are in major deficit in the Organic and Eco Sustainable sector. Our commitment to only provide our customers with “Certified Organic and Eco/Sustainable Goods” is unwavering. There will be no compromise whatsoever!
Our onboarding procedures are stringent, and the standards and procedures mandate that our listed Brands/Suppliers provide us with valid and legitimate certifications for claims they are making on their products, that would automatically deter any malpractice or any sub-standard product sale, but we encourage you to call and talk to us in case of any issue with any product.
Your feedback is very important for us to maintain the highest possible standards and stay true to the mission of only promoting goods that are good for you and for the Planet.
  • Image One
We also conduct random preliminary testing, and whenever possible, we personally consume these items to feel and experience the difference. We also study customer feedbacks at multiple platforms to understand the product quality from current users perspective. Once we are confident in our back-end checks, only then we shortlist a brand to onboard them. However, it is impossible to check quality every item being sold on the website.
Disclaimer: We are not liable for products inside the sealed packages, we will be happy to facilitate the transfer of your feedback to the pertinent supplier for them to improve their products. You can write the feedback against your pertinent order using the “feedback form” given against each order. You can also write to customercare@organicamrit.com and we will surely take action.
  • Image One
Once the order is placed, we ensure that every order is thoroughly checked before packing i.e. before it leaves the warehouse/fulfilment centre, however this is only in the case of all products that are locally available for delivery.
We check them to ensure the integrity of the packing, overall quality and expiry dates etc. (where applicable), once checked and verified by our team, the product/s is delivered to you.
Fresh fruits and vegetables, will be locally delivered directly by the supplier/company themselves, this is to reduce the time in transit and ensure freshness of deliveries at your doorstep as Organic Fresh Produce needs extra care and consideration, given they are free from any preservatives and hence tend to perish faster than conventional fresh produce.
For the products that are not locally available we have mandated these same standards and procedures with the suppliers before the products are dispatched.
  • Image One To ensure that the produce reaches you in the best state, we have appropriate logistics systems, that are especially planned keeping in mind the speed of delivery, preservation, shelf life and purity of products in this segment.

Some of the Organic and Eco Certifications- National and International Standards

Consumers are often misled while shopping Organic and Sustainable products in the market, the problem of fraud and mis-labelling occurs when a shop or a vendor claims that the product is organic while it contains non-organic ingredients, the production standards are not monitored or adhered to, hence it doesn’t carry legitimate certifications. Therefore, as consumers it becomes important to check if the product claiming to be Organic or Sustainable/Eco-positive is genuinely so.

The certification/s also attest to the passion and care for each and every detail of the organic production/processing/manufacturing processes.

Converting a conventional farm into an Organic Farm : In case of farm produce, if all the standards and procedures are in place, general time to convert a conventional farm into an organic one, depending on the types of crops being certified is 2 -3 years. If the land under certification has been unused, or lying fallow for long, then there may be exceptions to these timelines, especially if the soil and water tests are good.

In case of Fresh Produce (like vegetables and fruits), the farm has overall certification for a list of crops and quantities, hence only fresh fruits and vegetables from Certified Organic Farms will be sold on the Organic Amit website. Individual items may or may not carry labels.

Please also note that some of the products may be eco-positive but not necessarily have certifications as per regulations in India yet. And in few cases where suppliers are using all certified raw materials that we can verify, but they have not yet obtained end-product certifications, we are supporting such suppliers and motivating them to complete the process.

Listed below are some common certifications, that we recommend you check, depending on your location, before purchasing a sustainable/eco-positive product, however this does not imply that one is better than the other or these are the only certifications there are.

Disclaimer: We have shared details of the some of the certifications just for customer awareness and education purposes only. All countries have their own certification standards and procedures for this segment.

Certifications are obtained depending upon the scope and sector, are hence different for different countries, products and segments:
